Hints

• Upon booking always provide alternative phone numbers (eg mobile; neighbor or relative)
• We recommend that moving date be at least 24 hours prior to settlement date
• Empty all flammable liquids from motorbikes, lawn mowers etc
• Remove all protruding items from motorbikes, as well as fragile or delicate fittings, do not lock steering on motorbikes
• All furniture items emptied; chest of drawers, wardrobes, etc
• Fridge and freezer defrosted and cleaned 24 hours prior to pickup. We recommend waiting a minimum of 1 hour before switching on fridge after delivery
• Water removed from hoses attached to dishwashers and washing machines
• BBQ cleaned and free of grease
• Filing cabinets locked
• Waterbed bladder emptied 8 hours to pickup
• Trampolines and swing sets dismantled and castors/legs off bed bases
• Garden tools, mops and buckets bundled together
• Pack all items that can be boxed and tape - 48 mm wide tape. Do not use masking tape
• Remove handles and door knobs from drawers, cupboards and put inside each cabinet if required
• When packing heavy items use either small cartons or disperse the weight evenly throughout all the cartons
• If original packaging for items such as TVs, VCRs, Stereos etc are not available, leave them loose and they will be wrapped in furniture felt
• Water plants well 3 days prior to pickup and let them dry out
• Flammables, gas or paint not permitted on trucks
• Moving your fish tank. When moving your fish tank we require it to be empty. This is so no water will leak out and damage any of your other furniture and if you have anything inside the tank it may crack. The best thing to do with your fish tank rocks is put them in plastic containers or heavy duty plastic bags tied up and boxed so they don’t spill anywhere during the move
